Sri Lanka Embassy in Oman conducts Labour & Consular Mobile Service  in Buraimi and Sohar

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Oman conducted a successful Labour and Consular Mobile Service for the convenience of Sri Lankan migrant workers residing in Al Buraimi Governorate area and the North al Batinah Governorate area on 10 and 11 July, 2026.

A significant number of Sri Lankan migrant workers visited the mobile service centers in Buraimi and Sohar to renew their Labour registration with the SLBFE, obtain advice on employment related issues as well as to apply for new passports and authenticate documents. Several representatives of recruitment agencies visited and discussed recruitment related matters.

The Mobile Service also provided an opportunity for community outreach.  Ambassador of Sri Lanka, W.A.K.S. De Alwis met with community leaders during the visit.  Officers of the Consular and Labor Sections of the Embassy conducted the mobile service.
