The High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Pakistan, Rear Admiral Fred Seneviratne (Retd), hosted a dinner in honour of the visiting Sri Lanka Navy delegation at the Official Residence in Islamabad on 28 July 2026.

The Sri Lanka Navy delegation, led by Commodore Athula Jayaweera, is visiting Pakistan to participate in the 8th Navy-to-Navy Staff Talks between the Sri Lanka Navy and the Pakistan Navy. The Staff Talks serve as an important bilateral mechanism to strengthen professional cooperation, enhance operational collaboration, and foster mutual understanding between the two Navies.

The dinner was attended by members of the visiting Sri Lanka Navy delegation, officials of the Sri Lanka High Commission, and senior officers of the Pakistan Navy.

The dinner reflected the Sri Lanka High Commission's continued commitment to promoting defence diplomacy and further strengthening the longstanding Naval partnership between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
