The Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in Chennai, Dr. Ganesanathan Geathiswaran, paid a courtesy call on the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru C. Joseph Vijay, on 1 July 2026.

The Deputy High Commissioner conveyed his warm congratulations to the Chief Minister on assuming office and extended best wishes to the new Government.

The Deputy High Commissioner reaffirmed to the Chief Minister that the Mission remains committed to further strengthening cooperation and enhancing people-to-people ties between Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu within the broader framework of the longstanding and friendly relations between the two countries.
