
The High Commission of Sri Lanka in the Maldives, in partnership with the Sri Lanka Export Development Board, facilitated the participation of 20 Sri Lankan small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) at the Hotel Asia Exhibition & International Culinary Challenge Maldives 2026, held from 28 to 30 September 2026 at the Hulhumalé Synthetic Track in the Maldives.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation of the Maldives, Mohamed Ameen, as the Chief Guest on 28 September 2026. The Sri Lanka Pavilion was subsequently declared open by the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the Maldives, Mohamed Rizvi Hassen.
The Sri Lanka Pavilion featured CAP Organic Pvt Ltd, Empire Brands (Pvt) Ltd, Golgi Tec (Pvt) Limited, New Lanka Global Export (Pvt) Ltd, Blue Lotus 360 (Pvt) Ltd, Kandurata D&D Exports (Pvt) Ltd, Healthy Foods Lanka Export (Pvt) Ltd, Neli's Global Boutique (Pvt) Ltd, LS Trading & Manufacturing (Pvt) Ltd, Herbal Care Industries (Pvt) Ltd, Aromystique (Pvt) Ltd, Ceylon Team Agro (Pvt) Ltd, MHN Holdings, Natural Roots (Pvt) Ltd, Ceylon C Exports Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, Primco Holdings International (Pvt) Ltd, Diyatha Agro (Pvt) Ltd, Rajanganaya Exporters (Pvt) Ltd, Asian Chill Equipment (Pvt) Ltd and O2 Café.
The participating companies showcased products and services across a range of sectors, including food and beverages, software and IT-enabled services, spices and condiments, tea and herbal products, plant décor solutions, hotel amenities and lifestyle products, commercial refrigeration and food service equipment, Ayurvedic and wellness products, and wooden, stainless steel and acrylic products.
Representatives of the Maldivian Government, private sector and industry associations visited the pavilion during the three-day exhibition to explore potential business collaborations with the participating Sri Lankan companies. The High Commission and the Sri Lanka Export Development Board also coordinated meetings between the SMEs, the Maldives Business Chamber and potential business partners.
The High Commission further coordinated meetings for the Sri Lanka-Maldives Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce with the Ministry of Economic Development, Transport and Trade; Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation; Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and Ocean Resources; and Maldives Ports Limited. Representatives of the participating SMEs also attended the meetings.
Hotel Asia Exhibition & International Culinary Challenge Maldives 2026 which was held for the 20th time in Maldives is one of the biggest exhibitions in Maldives which provides opportunity for stakeholders in the hotel, resort, restaurant, food & service industries to exhibit their products.
