Sri Lanka pavilion at Food and Hospitality Asia Maldives 2026 showcases lifestyle and giftware products

The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Maldives, in partnership with the Export Development Board of Sri Lanka, facilitated the participation of 10 Sri Lankan small and medium-sized lifestyle and giftware manufacturing companies at Food and Hospitality Asia Maldives 2026, held at Manhattan Grand Hotel, Hulhumalé, from 07 to 09 September 2026.

The inauguration of the exhibition was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, State Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation of Maldives, Dr. Abdulla Niyaz, on 07 September 2026. Subsequently, the Sri Lanka pavilion was declared open by the State Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation of Maldives, Dr. Abdulla Niyaz, and High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Maldives, Mohamed Rizvi Hassen.

The participating Sri Lankan companies, Bubbles and Beyond (Pvt) Ltd, Rathna Batik, NDS Holdings, Eco di Barbara, Candle House Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd, Maximus (Pvt) Ltd, Sinharaja Herbs (Pvt) Ltd, Concept Developer (Pvt) Ltd, Kubera Lanmiy Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd, and Agroventures Exports (Pvt) Ltd, exhibited a wide array of high-quality products, including spa products, candles, batik, leather products, recycled paper products, wooden products and non-woven bags.

The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Maldives coordinated B2B meetings for the participating companies with potential business partners. The pavilion was visited by Maldivian government and private sector representatives, as well as heads of industry associations, throughout the three-day exhibition to explore potential business collaborations. The companies also met with the Executive Board of the Business Chamber of Maldives, providing them with an opportunity to obtain guidance on entering the Maldivian market.
