The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism launched its revamped official website together with the newly introduced Common Website Platform for Sri Lanka Missions and Posts Abroad at a ceremony held on 18 May 2026 at the Main Conference Hall of the Ministry.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Herath emphasized that digital transformation is not merely about introducing new technology, but about improving the manner in which Government institutions serve the people with greater efficiency, accessibility, transparency, and accountability. Minister Herath further noted that the new platform would strengthen Sri Lanka’s digital engagement with citizens, Sri Lankan communities overseas, foreign partners, investors, tourists, and the international community.
