Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath will undertake an official visit to the United Arab Emirates from 02 to 03 September 2026. During this visit, Minister Herath is expected to meet several key UAE Ministers, with a view to further enhancing bilateral cooperation between Sri Lanka and the UAE, including the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation of the UAE, Dr. Abdulrahman Abdulmannan Al Awar, and the Minister of Economy and Tourism of the UAE, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri to discuss matters of mutual interest.
On 02nd September, Minister Herath, together with Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade of the UAE, will grace the second edition of “Sri Lanka Beyond Your Dreams” in Dubai.
