Embassy of Sri Lanka in Oman promotes Colombo Port City as an Investment Destination

Colombo Port City Commission and Chec Port City in collaboration with the Embassy of Sri Lanka organized a Road Show in Muscat to promote Colombo Port City as a destination for investment. 

Speaking at the Road Show at the Sheraton Hotel in Muscat Ambassador W.A.K.S. De Alwis invited Omanis to invest in the Port City highlighting Sri Lanka’s strategic location linking the Gulf region and South Asia.  He also alluded to the Colombo Port City Commission being a single window for investment and highlighted the ease of doing investment in this special economic zone.

Under Secretary of State for Investment Madam Ibtisam bint Al Farooji and Under Secretary of State for Tourism and Heritage Azzan bin Qassim Al Busaidi representing the Government of Oman were among the distinguished gathering which included leading Omani businessmen and private sector representatives. 

The delegation led by Chairman Colombo Port City Commission Harsha Amarasekera also met with senior officials of the Oman Investment Authority (OIA) and Oman Public Authority for Special Economic Zones (OPAZ) during their visit.
