A Sri Lankan cultural dance and drum performance was jointly organised by the Sri Lanka High Commission and the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) at the Charkha Museum Open Air Theatre (Opposite Khadi India) in Connaught Place on 5th of February (Tuesday) from 6:30 p.m. onwards.

The dances were performed by a 20 member dance troupe from the Sri Lanka Navy and the school children of selected schools in New Delhi.  This cultural dance performance was a platter of all Sri Lankan dance types envisaging masks, drums and dances that describe the beauty of the nature of Sri Lanka.  This is the first cultural dance show of its kind to be performed in the heart of the city in New Delhi for the public.

A large crowd was gathered in the audience to witness this spectacular event.
