The newly appointed High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the Republic of South Africa, A.K. Mallimaratchi assumed duties at the High Commission of Sri Lanka in Pretoria on 11 October 2018.
Addressing the staff of the High Commission after assuming duties, High Commissioner-designate Mallimaratchi emphasized the importance of enhancing the performance of the Mission, and requested the staff to work as a team to reach the targets.
Further speaking on the longstanding relationship between Sri Lanka and South Africa, Mr. Mallimaratchi highlighted the role of the Mission in identifying the untapped potentials in the African Region and encouraged the Mission staff to work towards furthering trade relations.
