Embassy of Sri Lanka in Beirut Participates in the Aley Cultural Festival

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Beirut for the second consecutive year, participated in the Aley Cultural Festival which was held at the Semporiom Ras_Jabal in Aley, Lebanon from 20 - 22 of July 2018 . A large number of Lebanese nationals, officials, and Diplomats attended the festival.

The Aley Cultural Festival is organized in collaboration with the Mey Secondary School during every summer to mark the tourist season. The festival features music, dance, poetry, paintings, handicrafts, photography as well as food. The Aley Cultural Festival represents the identities and cultures of the people of many countries.

The stall of the Embassy of Sri Lanka aimed at promoting tourism, Ceylon tea, and Sri Lankan handicrafts. “Rangana Dancing Academy” of Mrs. Sangeetha Viviyan Sripali performed two dancing items at the festival.

The Sri Lankan stall was adorned with pictures, creating a strong visual impact of the wide array of experiences Sri Lanka has to offer to the traveller. Tourist brochures were distributed among the visitors to promote Sri Lanka and to encourage them to visit Sri Lanka.
