Mr. Abeyagoonasekara chaired the Working Group on Post-Conflict Reconciliation that consisted of representatives from think-tanks of ten nations which included Turkey, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Jordan, Israel, USA and Yemen. The Working Group will communicate with each other over the next several months to produce a paper entitled ‘Post Conflict Reconciliation, Lessons Learnt’ which will be a policy oriented paper that provides an applied Road Map to reconciliation. The members of the group will aim to use the experiences from their nations to then create the ‘road map’ to reconciliation that can be applied to nations who are embarking upon and are already in the reconciliation process.

The Kadirgamar Institute also presented a research paper at the Summit entitled ‘Sri Lanka: The Road to Reconciliation’ authored by Research Analyst, Ms. Sharanya Sekaram.
