The High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Pakistan, Rear Admiral Fred Senevirathna (Retired), hosted a dinner reception in honour of the visiting delegation from the National Defence College (NDC), Sri Lanka, on 04 June 2026 at the High Commissioner's Official residence in Islamabad.

The reception was attended by the Head of Delegation, Brigadier Rasika Gunasena, together with members of the NDC delegation. Also present were Minister/HOC, Christy Ruban; Brigadier Krishan Gunaratne, Defence Advisor; and Lieutenant Colonel Tahir, Senior Liaison Officer from the Pakistan Army.

The event provided an opportunity for cordial interaction and discussions on matters of mutual interest, reflecting the strong and longstanding ties between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

As a gesture of appreciation for the support and hospitality extended during the delegation's study tour to Pakistan, Brigadier Rasika Gunasena presented a commemorative memento to the High Commissioner on behalf of the delegation.
